FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When do the programmes open?

Wave 1 (Modeling & Valuation, M&A, LBO & Private Equity, Project Finance) opens first; people on the waiting list hear first and get the founding price.

What level do I need?

The programmes are for students (business schools, engineering schools, universities) and young professionals. Modeling & Valuation is the foundation: start there if you are new.

Is the certificate a degree?

No. It is a Kalan certificate showing that you passed the programme’s final exam; it can be verified online. It is not a state degree or an accredited qualification.

Are the cases real?

Cases are fictional but realistic, or drawn from cited public sources. They mix Africa (WAEMU, CEMAC, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Morocco…) and international markets.

How do I pay?

By mobile money depending on your country (Côte d’Ivoire: Wave, Orange Money, Moov Money, Djamo; Kenya: M-Pesa), or anywhere by card through Revolut or PayPal: no card data ever goes through Kalan. You quote your order reference, and access opens as soon as Kalan has checked your payment. You can pay in 3 instalments; if an instalment is unpaid, access is suspended 7 days after its due date and restored as soon as you pay.

Can I switch language?

Yes. Every lesson exists in English and French; you choose your course language in the app.
